Hanoi, May 5, 2025 – On the occasion of the official visit to Vietnam by H.E. Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr. Do Dong Duc - Managing Director of Petrolimex Singapore Pte Ltd, was privileged to meet with the President and present his company’s interest in investing and expanding business operations in the Sri Lankan market.
During the meeting, Mr. Do Dong Duc expressed his desire to contribute to the development of energy trade between the two countries by supplying high-quality petroleum products with reliable supply and competitive pricing for the Sri Lankan market. He also emphasized Petrolimex Singapore’s experience and capability in managing fuel import-export activities across the Asia-Pacific region.
President Wickremesinghe welcomed the cooperative spirit of Petrolimex Singapore and affirmed that he would instruct the relevant government agencies in Sri Lanka to create favorable conditions to support further study and implementation of the proposed initiative.
This meeting not only opens up new cooperation opportunities for Petrolimex Singapore but also contributes to strengthening the friendship and economic ties between Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
